The center's reference measurement laboratory provides valuable services. It operates according to the reference methods published by the joint committee for traceability in laboratory medicine, JCTLM. It helps establishing customer traceability, conduct analysis verification, various quality evaluations, etc.

The laboratory currently provides valuable services for the following organizations: reference material for the international federation of clinical chemistry and laboratory medicine, IFCC; various other international reference materials; verification of correctness plan as well as reference material for the Shanghai clinical laboratory center and the clinical laboratory center of the national health and family planning commission; calibrated material for in vitro diagnosis, samples for hospital clinical laboratory research, etc.

The laboratory’s main products include: alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, lactate dehydrogenase, amylase, creatine kinase, alkaline phosphatase and glutamyl transpeptidase, glycated hemoglobin, urea, uric acid, creatinine, glucose, vitamin D, estradiol, estriol, testosterone, progesterone, cortisol, cholesterol, calcium and lithium ions. Among them, seven enzymatic, glycohemoglobin and creatinine items are on the JCTLM international reference measurement service list, and enjoy the trust of foreign customers.
